Road crew position opening

The Town of Starksboro is searching for a full-time road crew member. Under the direction of the Road Foreman, this position is one that implements all municipal highway operations in order to advance the safe and effective functioning of the Starksboro road system, including municipal construction projects and maintenance of municipal roads, sidewalks, vehicles, and equipment.

Library is open!

The Starksboro Public Library is open to the public again with health precautions in place consistent with the State of Vermont's guidelines. Visit the library website for more details. 

Hours: Mon 10 - 6 |  Thurs 10 - 5 | Sat 9 - 2

WIFI is available 24/7 outside the building in the municipal parking area. 

Summer at Cota Rec Field

The Cota Recreation Field and area is a treasured asset for the Town of Starksboro and we encourage residents to enjoy the nature trail and access to Lewis Creek. If you are interested in reserving the pavilion for a private gathering, please contact Amy at the Town Clerk's office. She can provide details on use of the space and ensure availability. 

Online Payments Coming Soon!

Please check back for our new online payment system that will be available later this summer. Residents and taxpayers will be able to complete a variety of transactions with the Town Clerk's office to pay for dog licenses, recording fees, zoning fees, property taxes, and more. Stay tuned for more information. We're excited to offer this new feature.

Dog licenses

Please ensure you have registered your dogs with the town office. Forms are available online or call us and we will mail you a copy. If you need assistance, please contact Amy at 802-453-2639. 

Licenses $9 for spayed/neutered; $13 for intact


Property Taxes

Property tax bills are mailed at the end of summer. If you need information about your current tax bill, please call the town office so we may assist you.

Property taxes are due in full no later than 4:30 p.m. on  November 1, 2021. Postmarks are not accepted.
