The Jerusalem Community Center Committee is conducting a Community Survey as part of its work to plan for replacement of Fire Department Station #2 and renovation of the Jerusalem Schoolhouse. The survey was mailed to all Starksboro households and may be completed on paper or online. All Starksboro residents are invited to submit a survey.

The Vermont Gran Fondo course in 2019 includes a double ascent of Appalachian(App) Gap, once over Middlebury Gap and of course, the pinnacle climb, Lincoln Gap. The loop begins in the village of Bristol, Vermont, and heads east towards Lincoln. Climbing, albeit light, to begin with, starts just 1.5 miles in. Bikers climb up towards the center of Lincoln and then on towards Jerusalem and Appalachian Gap, a spectacular climb with an amazing westerly view at the summit.

  • 7:00 am Gran riders will start
  • 9:30 am Medio groups start

  • Riders must depart as a group–the intersection of Rt 17/116 and Airport Dr will be controlled by police.

The Jerusalem Community Center Committee (JCCC) and the Town of Starksboro are seeking proposals from qualified firms for professional services to create architectural plans, engineering and construction documents. These will include but are not limited to structural, mechanical, electrical, and engineering plans for renovations to the Historic Jerusalem Schoolhouse building and for a new #2 Fire Station.

THANK YOU to everyone who came out on Saturday to eat some sugar on snow and visit with neighbors. The Meetinghouse was packed with vendors and people throughout the area representing local organizations, nonprofits, and municipal boards and committees.
