The Starksboro Development Review Board (DRB) will hold a public hearing(s) at the Starksboro Town Office on March 22, 2018 beginning at 7:45 P.M. to review the following application(s).
- Application #2018-DRB-02-SD is a request by Lawrence C. and Susan A. Shepard AND Michael A. Shepard and Erin R. Buckwalter for a Final Plat hearing review for a 3-lot minor subdivision on their property located at 40 Mountain View Farm Lane and 1001 Robert Young Road, parcels #F463N and #F463N1. As proposed this is a subdivision of property and boundary line adjustment that requires Final Plat approval from the Town. The Final Plat hearing review will be conducted pursuant to the sections 353, 354, 414, and 426 of the Starksboro Land Use and Development Regulations. Parcel F463N is currently a 131.5± acre parcel with frontage on Robert Young Road in the Low Density Residential & Commercial District and the Forest Conservation District. Parcel F463N1 is currently a 38.6± acre parcel with frontage on Lafayette Road in the Low Density Residential & Commercial District and the Forest Conservation District. Application #2018-DRB-02-SD is available for review at the Town Office. This will be the first business item on the DRB’s agenda.
- Application # 2018-DRB-03-CU is a request by Lawrence C. and Susan A. Shepard for conditional use approval for the conversion of a seasonal camp to a single-family residence in the Forest and Conservation District. Conditional use approval will be subject to subdivision approval of #2018-DRB-02-SD. The conditional use hearing review will be conducted pursuant to section 425 of the Starksboro Land Use and Development Regulations. The proposed Lot #2 will be a 57.5+/- acre parcel on 40 Mountain View Farm Lane in the Forest and Conservation District and is presently a portion of Town parcel F463N. Application # 2018-DRB-03-CU is available for review at the Town Office. This will be the Board’s second business item. Interested persons are invited to attend the hearing or send a representative. DRB hearings are conducted in the order they are listed; applicants and other interested parties should be prepared to wait. Pursuant to 24 VSA § 4464(a)(1)(C) and 4471(a), participation in this local proceeding is a prerequisite to the right to take any subsequent appeal.
